Good news for all the India Android Developers. Digital payments have launched Paytm Mini App Store to support all the Indians. Mini apps are mobile websites custom-built that offer users an app-like experience without needing a real download. Using HTML and Javascript technologies, it can be created. On the web browser, a web app opens and this will support users by helping them save their details and memory.

A little different will be Paytm’s Android Mini App Store for Indian developers. These mini-apps will not be full-fledged apps but will be web apps that function like native apps, essentially websites. Paytm also claims that it will help users save their data and memory with these mini apps. At the time of its launch, there were more than 300 mini-apps on the web, with famous brands including Decathlon, Rapido, NetMeds, and Domino’s, Pizza, Fresh Menu. No Broker have joined the program on its app store, even though in beta stage, garnered over 12 million visits in September.

Paytm will hold a conference on October 8 to further clarify how their alternative to the Play Store on Google operates. Google dominated the Indian app market before Paytm launched its app store, as most users own Android phone in the region.

How to download Paytm Mini App Store?

Paytm said the Mini App Store has been with select users in the country for some time in its testing process and has seen more than 12 million visits in the month of September. A handful of applications such as AQI Dashboard, EMI Calculator, MojoPizza, Horoscope, Speedtest, and Unit Converter have already been populated with it. Paytm said that the software has already joined by over 300 app-based service providers, including Decathlon, Domino’s Pizza, FreshMenu, Netmeds, NoBroker, Ola, and more.  It is expected that these applications will soon find their way to the Mini App Store.

  • Go to Engine Search and search for the Paytm app and press the Install button.
  • Open the app after it is enabled and allow the app to update.
  • Open the Paytm app now and navigate to the Menu Bar.
  • Click Display More, and from the pop-up menu, choose Mini App Store.
  • The screen will show the Mini App Store. You can download and use any software.

For local businesses, this can prove to be a major blessing as they don’t want to spend a lot on apps. Moreover the app certainly don’t want to give Google a 30 % discount on their in-app purchases.
